Generic Ultrasonic System for flexible integration
The simple solution for meeting modern safety and comfort requirements
Our sensors and ECU are reliable, standard products that enable the simplest implementation of regulations R158 and ISO 17386:2010 via the CAN bus with existing displays and speakers. The software is flexibly configurable and adapts to any application and customer requirement. The system supports up to eight sensors with a measuring range of 20 to 250 cm at 12 V and CAN speeds of 125 to 1000 kbit/s. We are also working on sensor fusion with ProViu®360 and new applications for MultiViu® displays and VDO radios.

More and more of our radios are already fully compatible with the ultrasonic parking assistance system. Integration is particularly easy, as no additional speaker is required. MultiViu® Series: MVP12 2nd Gen
The next generation of our MVP12 will support the ultrasonic system right out of the box, allowing for seamless integration without any additional effort. Thanks to the integrated warning speaker, the MVP12 provides clear audible feedback. Combined with rear-view cameras, this creates a particularly safe overall system that ensures maximum visibility and protection while maneuvering.
Our ProViu®360 system fully supports the new ultrasonic system. Furthermore, it enables seamless sensor fusion of camera and ultrasonic information in all views. Each sensor is precisely displayed via a dynamic overlay, ensuring the driver always maintains a clear overview. Objects within the detection range are color-coded according to their distance from the vehicle, enhancing safety and making maneuvering more intuitive.
Dynamic overlays precisely display each individual sensor on the vehicle, ensuring maximum transparency. Colored bars mark detected objects exactly at their position within the respective sensor range, showing the driver the relevant distance at a glance. Since the overlays are available in all views, the driver receives optimal support – even on narrow streets, in difficult lighting conditions, or in particularly distracting situations.
